Know any potential volunteers?
Discover if they’re ready

Both past and current members have a heart to share the comfort they’ve received.

Sharing the comfort

The vision of GriefShare is to equip those who’ve been helped by the program to share the comfort they've received with others. This can enable us to reach the world with the love and comfort of Christ.

God can use their experience to bless others

How to evaluate a person’s readiness

Depending on where people are on their healing journey, some may be ready to volunteer now. Others may not be, and that’s okay! Consider them again in the future.

Is this the right time?
Is this a good fit?

This leader packet contains 4 simple assessments to give to potential volunteers. The assessments will help you determine if a person is at a good place to serve with GriefShare.

This tool makes it easier to find out who’s ready.

The importance of leader support

“Near the end of my group, I told my leader, ‘I don’t know if I can leave.’ She said, ‘Good. I was going to ask if you’d stay!’ That was the impetus that got me on the team.” Barbara, GriefShare facilitator & past participant
“Invaluable to me was confirmation from others, because I’m not sure I was able to honestly evaluate whether I was ready to lead GriefShare.” Carla, GriefShare facilitator & past participant
“People interested in volunteering want to serve [in different] ways. Anyone who has their heart in it can do a good job.” Sue, DivorceCare facilitator & past participant

We’d love to guide them
